The QEP office will work with faculty and their chairs each semester (fall, spring, summer) to identify courses that have Expose-Explore-Express activities.  We will sample students from those sections and ask for student work at the end of each semester.

We will also work with faculty, staff, and advisors to identify places where students are engaged in Explore and Express activities outside of the classroom - through campus clubs, independent projects, internships, etc.

Assessment is coordinated by the QEP Assessment Subcommittee.  Student work will be assessed to determine how well students are exhibiting proficiency with the student learning outcomes.  Assessment will occur each May, and our set of QEP rubrics will be used.

Frequently asked question: Can I submit more than just papers for assessment?

Answer: Yes. Many types of assignments – formal writing, informal writing, poster pdfs, projects, journals, field notes – are appropriate for assessment as long as they are of sufficient depth to be assessed by the QEP rubrics.
