Travel Grants for Professional Development

Travel support for professional development is available through the Research that Reaches Out office for conferences, workshops, and institutes.  Be sure to read all the way to the bottom to see all opportunities!  The purpose of these funds is to help faculty and staff think about and create opportunities for students to integrate research and service (see Expose/Explore/Express), and to also provide a means for colleagues to bring outside ideas back to the University.

Travel opportunities, 2016-2017

The following travel opportunities have been identified as having a good overlap with our mission of Research that Reaches Out, and the list will continue to be updated over the course of the year.  Please click on the links below to learn more.  We wish to send colleagues in teams of 2-3 to each, and will cover all of the travel costs (travel, lodging, registration, food, etc.).  If you are interested, please contact QEP Associate Director Judy Wilbanks (, 301-2887) prior to the early registration deadlines.
