Year 3: 2017-2018

  • Personal Well-being Grand Challenge is operational.
  • Continue Expose-level plan for first-year students in academic year courses.
  • Continue Explore-level plan for students in courses that integrate research and service.
  • Roll out Express-level plan for advanced students.
  • Assessment of Expose, Explore, and Express student learning outcomes and programmatic outcomes.
  • Faculty development activities for all levels.  Summer student research program is continued in summer 2018.

 

General Timeline

Year 0: 2014-2015

  • Baseline assessment for Expose foundational student learning outcomes. Determine baseline percentages of courses & activities (what we are doing now) and create percentage targets for QEP (what we are enhancing).
  • Faculty development for Expose-level signature assignments for year 1.
  • Solicit applications for Explore and Express pilot projects. 
  • On-site SACSCOC visit March 29-April 2, 2015.

Year 1: 2015-2016

  • Social Responsibility Grand Challenge is operational.
  • Roll out Expose-level plan for first-year students in academic year courses.
  • Baseline assessment for Explore (intermediate) and Express (advanced) student learning outcomes.  Assessment of Expose student learning outcomes and programmatic outcomes.
  • Faculty development activities for all levels.  Summer student research program begins in summer 2016.

Year 2: 2016-2017

  • Economic Freedom Grand Challenge is operational.
  • Continue Expose-level plan for first-year students in academic year courses.
  • Roll out Explore-level plan for students in courses that integrate research and service.
  • Assessment of Expose and Explore student learning outcomes and programmatic outcomes.
  • Faculty development activities for all levels.  Summer student research program is continued in summer 2017.

  • Return to Economic Well-being Grand Challenge.
  • Continue all Expose, Explore, and Express plans and assessment.
  • Faculty development activities for all levels.  Summer student research program is continued in summer 2020.
  • Institutional leaders look to assessment data to determine which QEP components are most effective and will continue.

Year 6: 2020-2021

  • Fifth-year Interim Report created and submitted to SACSCOC.
